ironic-api software package provides Openstack bare metal provisioning service - API, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ironic-api
ironic-api is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ironic-api package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ironic-api *
You will get with ironic-api package name, version, architecture and description in a table
